No. Oasis is a professional education program. It builds legal fluency and communication skills, but it is not legal advice and does not replace qualified counsel.
Foundations builds core legal fluency for everyday clinical practice. The Fellowship is advanced preparation for medico-legal consulting and expert work. They are designed as one progression, not competing choices.
Completion does not by itself qualify a physician to serve as an expert witness. The Fellowship develops the knowledge, communication, and professional framework that expert work requires.
Both programs are built for working clinicians. Final duration and time commitment are confirmed before each cohort — see the Programs page for current details.

Oasis was created by professionals in medicine and law to close that gap. Co-Founder
Matthew Kiok, MD, MPH
Matthew Kiok is a board-certified Occupational and Environmental Medicine physician. He holds an MD from LSU Health Sciences Center and an MPH from UC Berkeley, completed his residency through MountainView Hospital and UCSF, and scored in the top 9% nationally on his board examinations.
His clinical and consulting work spans independent medical evaluations, permanent impairment ratings, occupational causation analysis, and expert medical reports — the exact areas where clinical judgment is most often tested by outside review.

Jonathan Songy, Esq.
Jonathan Songy is an attorney whose background spans criminal prosecution, criminal defense, public defense, and legal education. His experience includes work with the 16th Judicial District Attorney's Office, courtroom advocacy, trial preparation, and legal research.
That courtroom perspective — seeing firsthand how medical records, standards of care, and expert opinions are questioned and tested in legal proceedings — is what led him to co-found Oasis.
